Auto repair in the United States is split between independent shops, dealership service departments and national chains. Independents handle most routine work (oil changes, brakes, tune-ups, check-engine diagnostics) at lower labor rates and often specialize in one make or in imports; dealers keep factory tools, software and warranty authority; chains sell speed and standard pricing on maintenance items. Most shops charge a diagnostic fee, credited toward the repair if you go ahead, and quote parts and labor separately. Certification matters: look for ASE-certified technicians and, in many states, a state repair license posted at the counter. Written estimates are required by law in most states before work begins, and you are entitled to your old parts if you ask.

Hours are published for 5 days a week. On most of those days it is open 9 am–5 pm. It is closed on Saturday, Sunday. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. The listed phone number is (813) 247-3384. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone.

On Google it holds a rating of 4.8 out of 5 from 212 reviews, which is a strong result for an auto repair shop in Tampa and suggests consistent service.

Tampa is in Florida, in the Southeast, where summers are long, hot and humid, winters are mild, and afternoon thunderstorms and the hurricane season from June to November can change plans at short notice. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Tampa follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Very professional and honest. I originally went in to get my AC fixed, and not only did they take care of that, but they also helped me find solutions to other problems my truck had been having for months. Other mechanics couldn’t figure it out and wanted to charge me a fortune. We even went out for a test drive so they could properly diagnose the issue, and the mechanic figured out the real problem right away. They even did an oil change service for me as well. Their pricing was fair, and they were professional from start to finish. They helped and advised me at every step. I’m very grateful for their help and definitely recommend them.

I started bringing my car here about 3 years ago and refuse to go anywhere else!!! This is a family ran business that makes you feel like you’re apart of the family. I have never been to an auto repair shop that was so honest, genuine, and I can’t believe every quote I ever got was way below what other places would charge. I’ve never been “sold” on things I didn’t need. And the quality of work and the pride they take in doing a good job is far beyond anything I have ever seen before! I will never take my car anywhere else! I can’t believe I place like this even exists! I am forever grateful and thankful for this family and their business/work ethic! Thank you!!!

I want to take a moment to publicly thank A&A Auto Repair in Tampa. Yesterday I had an issue with my car, and not only did they fix it with professionalism, but they did something you don’t see often these days—they stayed past closing time to make sure I could get back to Fort Myers the same day. That level of commitment, care, and customer service truly makes a difference. They made me feel at ease in a stressful situation, and that means a lot. If you’re in Tampa and need a trustworthy auto shop, I highly recommend them. Thank you again for going above and beyond 🙏🚗
